The Breakfast Club With Organic Foods & Cafe

Good coffee, proper breakfast and a little less weekend chaos. Could breakfast be the most underrated family outing in Dubai?

  • Organic Foods & Cafe continues its AED 69 breakfast offer that is normally available Saturdays and Sundays until 12pm, but will run daily during Dubai Fitness Challenge at Cityland Mall and Sheikh Zayed Road cafés.
  • Additional All Day Breakfast menu items available from AED 35, including shakshuka and avocado on toast to cinnamon pancakes, açaí bowls and speciality organic coffees. Available at Organic Foods & Café in Cityland Mall, The Greens and Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • Cityland Mall café also features a kids’ play area.

Weekends in Dubai often come with ambitious plans. There’s the brunch booking, the family outing, the shopping trip and the inevitable debate over where everyone wants to eat. But what if the best family plan was simply breakfast? No elaborate itinerary, no waiting until lunchtime with hungry children and no pressure to turn every weekend into a major production. Just a slower morning, good food and a chance to catch up before the day gets away from everyone. A relaxed breakfast gives families an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company without feeling like they’re racing against the clock. And there’s something particularly appealing about starting the day together before everyone’s attention gets pulled in different directions.

The beauty of breakfast is that it rarely requires everyone to agree on the same thing. At Organic Foods & Café, the All Day Breakfast options range from buttermilk cinnamon pancakes (AED 35) and eggs with avocado on toast (AED 49) to shakshuka with avocado and feta (AED 49), a hearty cooked breakfast (AED 59), scrambled tofu with avocado quinoa toast (AED 49), and for those who prefer a lighter start, there’s an açaí bowl (AED 49). For families who like a generous breakfast without the hefty weekend bill, Organic Foods & Café also serves up two breakfast sets for AED 69 each, available every Saturday and Sunday until 12pm at its Cityland Mall and Sheikh Zayed Road cafés. The Classic English Breakfast brings together eggs, sausage, avocado on toast, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms and beans. There’s also a hot drink, apple juice and a fluffy buttermilk pancake, with the option to add a warm sour cream doughnut for AED 4. And because a proper breakfast shouldn’t leave anyone out, there’s a Vegan Breakfast featuring avocado toast, hummus and a selection of organic spreads, also accompanied by a hot drink, apple juice and pancake. Those wanting something extra can add a creamy chia pudding with almond milk for AED 8.

During November, Organic Foods & Café is extending its AED 69 weekend breakfast offer to every day throughout the Dubai Fitness Challenge, at its Cityland Mall, and Sheikh Zayed Road cafés.

Of course, a leisurely breakfast deserves a decent coffee. Beyond the usual espresso, cappuccino and mocha, the café’s organic coffee menu includes an infused Ginger Coffee, Bulletproof Coffee made with MCT oil and butter, and the New Mind Chagaccino, combining chaga with espresso and milk. For those who prefer something different, there’s also a ceremonial matcha latte with almond milk.

Organic Foods & Café serves breakfast at its Cityland Mall, Sheikh Zayed Road and The Greens locations, with the added benefit of a kids’ play area at Cityland Mall. That means breakfast can become a more relaxed family outing, rather than another exercise in keeping everyone seated and entertained.

And for those mornings when getting everyone out of the house feels like an achievement too far, the breakfast ritual can happen at home. Keep things simple with fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, mini croissants, chicken sausages or ready-made breakfast burritos. Throughout November, shoppers can also enjoy Buy One, Get The Second 50% Off on Sourdough pizzas.

The best family traditions aren’t necessarily the most elaborate. And if breakfast means everyone gets fed, the coffee stays hot and the rest of the day is still ahead of you, that’s a pretty good start to the weekend.
