Abu Dhabi, UAE – September 2026: Good sandwiches shouldn’t have to be off the table when you’re gluten-free.
INTENDED, the Abu Dhabi-born concept built around gluten-free, refined-sugar-free food, is expanding its menu with a new collection of handcrafted sandwiches — bringing the same considered approach to ingredients that defines the brand to an everyday lunchtime favourite.
Launching this September, the new sandwiches will be deliberately limited, available every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12pm until sold out. Once they’re gone for the day, they’re gone — keeping quantities small, ingredients fresh and each batch made with intention.
Starting from AED 49, the collection features four sandwiches spanning chicken, turkey and tuna, all served on gluten-free bread and made using the clean, high-quality ingredients at the heart of INTENDED’s food philosophy.
For the bread itself, INTENDED has looked close to home, partnering with Celiacita, a homegrown gluten-free bakery business based in Abu Dhabi. The collaboration allows INTENDED to keep the entire sandwich experience gluten-free while supporting another local business dedicated to creating food for the gluten-free community.
The Grilled Chicken Caesar (AED 49) layers grilled chicken breast with crisp romaine, Parmesan and Caesar dressing, finished with jalapeños for a little heat. The Turkey (AED 49) keeps things deliberately simple, pairing sliced turkey breast with gluten-free bread and letting the quality of the ingredients do the talking.
For tuna lovers, there are two takes. The Spicy Tuna (AED 52) combines tuna with a creamy, spiced dressing, while the Light Tuna swaps traditional mayonnaise for a Greek yoghurt dressing, creating a lighter interpretation of the classic.
More than simply adding sandwiches to the menu, the launch is a natural extension of INTENDED’s approach to food: taking familiar favourites and creating versions that fit comfortably into a gluten-free and refined-sugar-free lifestyle without losing the flavour, satisfaction or sense of indulgence that made people love them in the first place.
With quantities intentionally kept limited, guests are encouraged to arrive early. Sandwiches will be available Wednesday to Friday from 12pm until sold out, with daily sell-out updates shared through INTENDED’s Instagram Stories.
